Nadeem Tahir

Nadeem Tahir is a humanitarian leader and nonprofit strategist with more than eighteen years of experience serving in senior roles across international organizations. His journey in the third sector has taken him through a wide spectrum of responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer, Director, Consultant, and Trustee, shaping his ability to design and manage impactful programmes even in resource-constrained environments. He currently leads FRDP International, a UK-registered charity working in Pakistan, Mali, and Uganda, where he oversees operations, strategic partnerships, compliance, and fundraising to expand humanitarian aid across South Asia and Africa. Previously, Nadeem served as Chief Executive Officer of Penny Appeal Pakistan, where he transformed a small welfare initiative into a nationally recognized nonprofit delivering programmes in child protection, healthcare, water and sanitation, and village rehabilitation. He also held the role of General Manager at READ Foundation, responsible for institutional fundraising to support a network of 390 schools educating more than 112,000 children, including over 11,000 orphans. His international exposure deepened further at Syria Relief, where as Head of Programmes for Turkey and Syria, he managed multi-sector teams working on health, education, food security, WASH, protection, and emergency response in conflict-affected regions. Over the course of his career, Nadeem has led relief missions in Iran, Nepal, and Turkey, and represented leading charities at global forums such as the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and the United Nations Water for Sustainable Development Conference in Tajikistan. His work has consistently focused on empowering communities through education, child protection, access to clean water, health services, food security, and sustainable livelihoods. With a Master’s degree in Public Administration and ongoing learning in Islamic Studies, combined with his professional expertise in programme management, policy development, and donor relations, Nadeem continues to bring vision and practical leadership to build resilient organizations and create lasting impact for vulnerable communities.
